Born in Melbourne, Australia with grandparents initially from Manchester, England, a young Mark A. Bishop always knew he was destined to make a difference. His chosen career as a Radio & T.V. broadcaster/presenter, have given him a strong insight into people.
The Aussie with a difference
My media experience was gleaned from Radio and Television stations throughout Australia over many years. Australia is a beautiful and exciting country and I am very fortunate to have lived most of it throughout my media and business career.
You have to earn your stripes so to speak. I started out as young announcer which sure didn’t pay much, but when you love what you do, you always find a way to more than survive. After working my way from country to major city stations with experience in all formats of music and talk, I ventured into television and again utilizing my diverse talents hosted current affairs, variety, sport and anything they threw at you including major news anchoring and reporting.
They often say, ‘is there any life after media’?
I have been very fortunate to have had a very successful (2nd) career in resort real estate and the vacation ownership industry, mixed use real estate land and housing sub divisions and residential estates. With my wife & partner Nancy, we formed our company that has now consulted on and produced fractional real estate projects in North America, Mexico, Vanuatu, New Zealand and Phillip Island in Victoria Australia.
We enjoy helping others whenever we can and now returning to Tucson to be near family have embarked on our newest and exciting project, ‘mi casa es su casa’ an all things real estate and property radio show on the Voice KVOI 10.30 AM – Saturday mornings at 10am. We hope that you will join us!
A native of Tucson via Long Island New York moving here when she was 12, Nancy (Lehman) enjoyed her Rincon school days and the U of A later becoming very successful in corporate America with giants like GTE and Dun & Bradstreet.
She too loves to travel and when on a cruise in the Bahamas she met her soul mate, affectionately know as ‘the wonder from down under’ and from there the crazy journey began. Now heading into their 19th year, the ‘Aussie and the Yank’, as featured on the back window of their honeymoon car, sure drew some ‘toots’ and waves throughout Arizona.
They are grateful for their travels and life successes and are excited about their new project ‘mi casa es su casa’.
